Well-Fed Companion

"Well-Fed Companion"

I have given you the better half,

And kept the lesser for myself.

Your belly full, your worries few,

How lovely life must be for you.

And still, I sit and watch you eat,

Content to see your life complete.

For all the things I go without,

You've never had to do the same.
